Research and Development

Research into innovative new products and systems, specified to meet all different international standards, is part of a continuous process for the company's product managers and design engineers.

Broad Telecom operates its own comprehensive-equipped R&D facilities, making extensive use of CAD tools.

Company's key asset is the team of hardware and software engineers with solid background and expertise in digital signal processing, in transmission systems via radio, cable or satellite, in communication protocols as well as in circuit and system analysis and synthesis techniques.

By combining these resources, Broad Telecom can offer a wide product range developed in house: Analogue and digital (DVB) TV transmitters and transposers, digital radio broadcasting transmitters, reserve systems, character generators, etc.

 

The result of this R&D work is that each and every one of the modules and circuits that compose the transmitter have been designed by the R&D department engineers. Therefore, any doubt or customized solution can be solved inside the company in the quickest and most efficient way: by the own designer.

Acknowledgement to the R&D activities developed by Broad Telecom is shown throughout its participation and contribution to different Spanish and international projects. It is to mention VIDITER project intended to define and validate the transmission standards for digital terrestrial television) as well as several contribution in satellite communications within the frame of the European Space Agency -ESA.
