The most important multimedia group in Panama, corporación Medcom, relies on BTESA’s DTT transmitters for its new stations: Volcán Barú, Canajagua and Cerro Oscuro.
BTESA has supplied the turnkey project, including the transmitters, GPS receivers, program combiners, and the antenna system with the necessary hardware for the existing tower.
The high-efficiency DVB-T/T2 transmitters, with powers of 750W (air cooling), 2kW and 4kW (liquid cooling) have been delivered in a multi-transmitter system, sharing the rack and cooling system between several transmitters, thus optimizing footprint and consumption.
The local support of BTESA America, our subsidiary in Panama, has been essential for the project management and the installation, and will continue with customized support with thorough preventive maintenance using the transmitters’ new remote monitoring and control system.
Additionally, BTESA has also carried out other works for the supply and installation of additional radio frequency equipment in another 3 stations of the Medcom corporation.
