Design, Manufacturing, supply and commissioning of RF Solid State Power amplifiers at 175 MHz, for the Buncher cavities of the MEBT of the IFMIF/EVEDA Accelerator Prototype (LIPAc), presently under construction in Rokkasho (Japan)
The supply included 2 RF Power Amplifier of 16kW, liquid cooled, 1 control rack (with LLRF, RF driver, Arc detector unit and PLC) and the RF coaxial lines from SSPA to the cavity inside the vault
BTESA had to integrate the LLRF, the RF driver and the Arc detector.
Our software team also programmed the EPICS based remote communications and integrated it within the Accelerator central control system.
Finally, BTESA had to design the RF coaxial lines path, spanning over the pit to enter the vault, and install on site. The mechanical supports had to be designed taking into account the electromagnetic constraints as well as the strict earthquake regulations.
