Red TV nacional en Mali

Project Description

For the 2002 African Cup that took place in Mali, the Government decided to enable open TV and radio signals for the remote populations

This project consisted in designing, engineering and installing 23 TV and FM radio broadcasting stations, including TV and FM transmitters, gensets, TVRO satellite dish, towers, antenna systems and shelters.

A complex project, planned at a very short notice and with an incredibly deadline: the installations, some of them in the middle of the Sahara desert, were to be completed in six months. It seemed impossible, but BTESA took the challenge and manage to do it.

Apart from delivery time, there were another issues: complicated logistics and the hot and dusty environment. BTESA found an innovative solution, manufacturing shelters with enhanced isolation and pre-installing all the equipment in our factory so that deployment was smooth and quick, avoiding unexpected problems or lack of materials at time of installation.
