Project Description
OFDM Radiolink Argelia
Framed in a project of a national broadcast operator that aims to extend television coverage and its digitalization, this project consists in four mobile transmission full-duplex radiolinks operating in the 7 GHz band.
These radiolinks make possible to route TV and radio programs from any point on the broadcaster network in order to ensure immediate relief of a faulty link or to ensure coverage of an important event (election, presdential trip, match coverage, earthquake, natural disaster, etc.)
For greater flexibility, it has several inputs (SDI, composite video, HDMI, ASI, analog audio and AES/EBU digital audio), and it can encode/decode in SD (MPEG2 4:2:2 and 4:2:0) and in HD (MPEG-4 H264/AVC HP@level 3 and 4). The required modulation was DVB-S2, and BTESA offered equipment also with DVB-T2 modulation for better coverage.
The basic composition of each radio link consists of:
- Transmission equipment for baseband signal processing, modulation and multiplexing, FI/RF up-converter and signal amplification tasks and their power supply.
- Reception equipment for down-converter and signal amplification, demodulation and demultiplexing tasks and their power supply.
- Antennas diameter 90 cm
- Accessories (cable rolls, tripod, installation accessories)
Thanks to the experience of BTESA’s mechanical and energy departments, all the equipment has been integrated into transport boxes that are safe for the equipment and manageable for the deployment of the systems and their operation.
