Project Description
Wisp Operator in Mauritania.
In this Project BTESA has collaborated with WISP NETCOM building its wireless access network from scratch, integrating it into its data center.
BTESA has supplied the operator with the base stations, CPEs and client home routers as well as the core network routers necessary to convert its network into the most efficient wireless fixed Internet access network in Mauritania.
Since the beginning, BTESA has helped the operator in the radioelectric study of Nouakchott to determine the best locations to deploy the Albentia Systems base stations.
Likewise, fiber optic cable has been supplied both for the BS sites and to link them with their data center.
To guarantee the availability of the WISP operator’s network, BTESA has sized and supplied the energy systems necessary to keep the network in operation during times of power outage at the sites, providing them with autonomy of several hours.
BTESA has installed and configured the management and billing platform with a cluster of powerful servers that replicate the functionality of the main server
In addition, BTESA has trained the NOC operator’s technical team and its group of installers.
As a result, the operator has a WISP network with a performance higher than that of other operators in the city, especially in those areas with high user density and in areas where it has been found that the working frequency spectrum was quite saturated.
In addition, the QoS quality of service of the base stations makes the user experience of Internet access unbeatable in the areas where the network has been deployed.
