BTESA modernizes Bangladesh Betar radio studios in Sylhet with a turnkey project

BTESA has successfully completed a turnkey project Bangladesh’s national public radio broadcaster, within the program “Modernization and Installation of Digital Broadcasting Equipment at Bangladesh Betar, Sylhet”. The scope covered supply, installation, testing, commissioning and training for the Master Control Room (MCR) and studios, along with all associated systems and accessories.

The project included equipment to fully renovate 6 radio studios, a Master Control Room (MCR), an auditorium and a transmitter room (with audio monitoring for signal verification), all connected through a unified technical infrastructure.

Key Technical Highlights

  • Master control switcher with router, IP-based architecture, and advanced monitoring and redundancy capabilities
  • Audio transport between the MCR and the transmitter room is implemented over fiber optic, ensuring robust connectivity within the building.
  • Automation and content management system based on Dalet Galaxy Five and Medianucleus, enabling ingest, editing, and playout through fully integrated workflows
  • Teleprompter integration within the MAM environment
  • Intercom and hybrid telephony system for internal coordination and listener interaction
  • “ON AIR” signaling and GPS/NTP time synchronization to ensure consistent operation across all areas
  • Camera recording systems, live streaming, and multi-camera switching
  • Redundant UPS systems with battery banks to strengthen operational continuity
  • Dedicated technical furniture (desks, chairs, and mini-racks)
  • Dedicated LAN network with professional switching equipment, logical service segmentation, and servers integrated into the daily operation of the automation system

End-to-End Integration

BTESA carried out full end-to-end integration covering audio, automation, IT, and power systems within a single turnkey project.

A technical team was deployed on site for several weeks to supervise installation, conduct commissioning, and ensure knowledge transfer through structured training sessions for the client’s team.

Bangladesh Betar now benefits from a modern IP-based infrastructure, a powerful MAM platform with integrated and streamlined workflows, and a fully connected and synchronized operational environment ready to meet the current challenges of digital broadcasting.
