Instalation and Comissioning of CAS and NAS systems in Burkina’s DTT Headend
Burkina Faso and SBT (DTT Network Operator) keep relying on BTESA. Not long after BTESA designed and installed the DTT national network, its operator has chosen BTESA to deliver two new systems: CAS and NAS.
The integration of these two systems, provides further functionality and flexibility to the national Headend. The Conditional Access System (CAS) chosen by BTESA provides DVB-Simulcrypt as well as compatibility with third-party systems. The system reduces the need for upfront investments, drastically reducing operator CAPEX, and enables the rapid deployment of new pay-TV features. A system able to envolve and adapt to different business models (Broadcast, VOD and OTT) providing the network operator a future proof solution.
Regarding the NAS (Network Attached System), BTESA has once again delivered, fulfilling current and future customer needs. The system installed, provides an easy to use interface where the operator can choose the programs to record in an automated and periodical fashion. With distributed and balanced access, the system stripes data across all different servers, so clients can access in parallel, ensuring reliable performance for any application, at any time. From 36 Terabytes to multiple Petabytes in a single file system, its scalability is ensured. A reliable and robust system with high availability thanks to RAID 6 technology, which offers protection against unlikely events such as multiple drive failures. Once again, a long term solution prepared for different business models which enhances this Headend with new services and possibilities for the operator to exploit.
This integration highlights BTESA’s loyalty to its clients, as well as the trust of those who have worked with BTESA in the past, to choose us as their technological partner for the deployment of any turn-key project.
